•Review Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) principles, evidential support, strengths and limitations
•Understand the history and purpose of TF-CBT
•List the core values and structure for providing flexible and developmentally appropriate treatment for children, adolescents, and families affected by trauma
•Rationale for implementation within all of the child’s external systems/environments
•Recognize the developmental applications of TF-CBT
•Learn adaptations for the treatment application within four special populations


​PRESENTER BIOGRAPHY:
​Lynn M. Hazard, LICSW-PIP, has provided social work since 2006.  Most of her clients were trauma victims from preschoolers to older adults.  She began presenting for Leslie Phillips Seminars® in 2016. Her social work experience includes individual counseling, adoption home studies, intern and new graduate supervision, case management, and licensure exam preparation tutoring. Lynn focuses on evidence-based practices that incorporate mind, body, and spirituality. She is experience in trauma healing, play therapy, and is now an certified anger management specialist. Before becoming a social worker, Lynn was also an Occupational Therapist (28 years), teacher and blind rehabilitation specialist.  She has an MSW from The University of Alabama (Tuscaloosa), MA in Education from The University of Alabama at Birmingham, BSW from UAB, and both a Masters and Bachelors from Western Michigan University. ​​

Review common adverse childhood experiences that lead children and adolescents toward harm-seeking attitudes and behaviors
Improve understanding of the effects of overwhelming childhood experiences on the developing brain, thinking, and behaviors
Discover why children and adolescents turn to self-harm
Understand why children and adolescents harm others
Revise professional perceptions of the underlying motives for harm-seeking behaviors
Learn evidence-based and emerging models for addressing harm-seeking behaviors in the clinical setting with children and adolescents

Leslie Phillips Seminars® has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP No. 6667. Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified. Leslie Phillips Seminars® is solely responsible for all aspects of the programs​.​  Leslie Phillips Seminars® has been approved by the Alabama State Board of Social Work Examiners, #0516. 

REFUND, CANCELLATION, CERTIFICATE, POSTPONEMENT,  REFUSAL OF SERVICE POLICY: 

Refunds: If a refund is requested by the participant, a partial refund, minus a $25.00 adminstrative fee will be given within two weeks of the event. All cancellations must be in writing, thus emailed to leslie@daretodreamlife.com is preferred. No refunds will be issued if received less than 2 weeks of the event.  Please note if a participant fails to contact us as well as fails to appear for the seminar, no refunds will be issued, nor will attendance of another seminar be allowed. 

Cancellations:  If Leslie Phillips Seminars® cancels a seminar, a full refund will be given. Leslie Phillips Seminars® reserves the right to cancel any seminar due to low enrollment. 
Postponements: At times, postponing a seminar may be unavoidable (such as illness of a presenter, family tragedy, etc). If a seminar is postponed, all registered will have the option to attend the seminar on the newly scheduled date, or have their registration transferred to another seminar of their choice within the next 6 months. No refunds will be given. If a seminar is not attended within that 6 month period, attendance of another seminar is forfeited. 


Certificates: It is the policy and procedure of Leslie Phillips Seminars® to provide our customers with their certificate at the end of each seminar.  Because we provide this in person, at the conclusion of all seminars, the following policy is adhered to:
1.     If a customer loses, misplaces, fails to get their certificate before leaving for the day, or otherwise cannot find their certificate that was originally provided at their seminar, Leslie Phillips Seminars® will provide an additional certificate electronically with an administrative charge of $15.00.  Customers may utilize the buy it now option on our website at www.daretodreamlife.com or contact leslie@daretodreamlife.com to pay by check. 
2.   If a customer requests a certificate to be mailed through the United States Postal Service, Leslie Phillips Seminars ® will mail the certificate with an administrative charge of $20.00. Customers may utilize the buy it now option on our website at www.daretodreamlife.com or contact leslie@daretodreamlife.com to pay by check.

Refusal of Service: We may bar access to any service immediately, without prior notice or liability, under our sole discretion, without limitation, including but not limited to a breach of the Terms listed on our website. We may bar access to any service if Dare to Dream Services/Leslie Phillips Seminars believes that a customer conduct violates applicable law or is harmful to the interests of Dare to Dream Services/Leslie Phillips Seminars® and its subsidiaries. A violation that is harmful to the interests of Dare to Dream Services/Leslie Phillips Seminars® includes but is not limited to: Video recording of live seminars, taking pictures of the screen during live presentations, copying of seminar materials given during attendance (handouts and other documentation) for distribution in a commercial capacity and/or using in a competitors live seminar business without written permission of Dare to Dream/Leslie Phillips Seminars®.

BOX 4722, Huntsville, AL, 35815.  Include with the check your name as it needs to be on your certificate, your mailing address, your telephone number, your email address (so we can send you confirmation details), and the name of the seminar you wish to register for.  Please be aware that until the check has been received, seats will be open for purchase. The fastest way to secure a seat for a training is through credit card payment payment options below. We no longer offer seat holding services for individuals.  However, if you are a business and are sending employees:  Please contact us if you need a W9 form for your database.  If you are utilizing a Purchase Order, please email leslie@daretodreamlife.com for more information.Thank you for your understanding.

A service charge of $35.00 will be assessed on all checks returned by the bank for any reason. Re-payment of the returned check must be made by cash, cashier’s check, or money order only.
