In addition to working with clients battling eating disorders, Michaela utilizes trauma focused therapy for clients who are survivors of emotional, physical, and/or sexual abuse. She is trained in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and the Instinctual Trauma Response (ITR) model of therapy. These are two of the modalities that she uses in helping clients work through past trauma and complicated grief.

Prior to relocating to Huntsville in 2017, Michaela spent five years living in the Steel City of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania during her husband’s pursuit of his doctoral degree.
