Expand self-awareness of practitioner morals, values, and beliefs that might create barriers to healthy professional relationships and boundaries with survivors of trauma
Recognize common ethical issues in assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of trauma
Develop strategies for resolving ethical dilemmas
Increase awareness of how practitioner values and beliefs might influence treatment outcomes for clients with grief and loss issues
Improve treatment competence through a broadened understanding of life events and experiences that often result in grief and loss
Identify relevant NBCC and NASW Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice related to grief and loss
Lynn M. Hazard, LICSW-PIP, has provided social work since 2006. Most of her clients were trauma victims from preschoolers to older adults. She began presenting for Leslie Phillips Seminars® in 2016. Her social work experience includes individual counseling, adoption home studies, intern and new graduate supervision, case management, and licensure exam preparation tutoring. Lynn focuses on evidence-based practices that incorporate mind, body, and spirituality. She is experience in trauma healing, play therapy, and is now an certified anger management specialist. Before becoming a social worker, Lynn was also an Occupational Therapist (28 years), teacher and blind rehabilitation specialist. She has an MSW from The University of Alabama (Tuscaloosa), MA in Education from The University of Alabama at Birmingham, BSW from UAB, and both a Masters and Bachelors from Western Michigan University.
Leslie Phillips Seminars® has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP No. 6667. Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified. REFUND AND CANCELLATION POLICY: Refunds: If a refund is requested by the participant, a partial refund, minus a $25.00 adminstrative fee will be given within two weeks of the event. All cancellations must be in writing, thus emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org is preferred. No refunds will be issued if received less than 2 weeks of the event. Please note if a participant fails to contact us as well as fails to appear for the seminar, no refunds will be issued, nor will attendance of another seminar be allowed.
Cancellations: If Leslie Phillips Seminars® cancels a seminar, a full refund will be given. Leslie Phillips Seminars® reserves the right to cancel any seminar due to low enrollment.
Postponements: At times, postponing a seminar may be unavoidable (such as illness of a presenter, family tragedy, etc). If a seminar is postponed, all registered will have the option to attend the seminar on the newly scheduled date, or have their registration transferred to another seminar of their choice within the next 6 months. No refunds will be given. If a seminar is not attended within that 6 month period, attendance of another seminar is forfeited.
