Have Questions About The No Surprise Act?

We Do Too!

Live, Interactive Webinar in Real Time

8:30 a.m. -11:45 p.m.
3 NBCC/SW CE HOURS

Presenter: Leslie Phillips, LPC-S, NCC

INTRODUCTION:

The No Surprises Act aims to increase price transparency and reduce the likelihood that clients receive a “surprise” medical bill by requiring that providers inform clients of an expected charge for a service before the service is provided. Think it only applies to physicians? Think again! Starting January 1, 2022, behavioral health care providers will be required by law to give uninsured and self-pay clients a good faith estimate of costs for services when scheduling care or when the client requests an estimate. What about our insured clients? Does this apply to only new clients or current one as well? Join us as we strive to learn how to be in compliance with this new law.

Learning Objectives:
Define the "No Surprises Act," a Federal law, that applies to all mental health professionals that went into effect January 1, 2022.
Explore the “Good Faith Estimate” and what must be given to each client
Explain the patient-provider dispute resolution provision

“Sweetheart,
Are We Co-Dependent or Dependent?”

Live, Interactive Webinar in Real Time

March 25th, 2022

8:30 a.m. -4:15 p.m.
6 NBCC/SW CE HOURS

Presenter: Leslie Phillips, LPC-S, NCC

Introduction: Therapists have worked with clients who feel trapped in a destructive relationship pattern (whether it’s with an addict, abuser, or from a personal perspective, even a manipulative friend).  It’s highly unusual for a client to come to a therapy session and request to be treated for codependency. Instead, they will likely report symptoms of anxiety, depression, addictions, or talk about their “relationship problems.” If we scratch the surface of someone suffering from any of these ailments, we will most likely find codependent, dependent and maladaptive behaviors. Join us as we learn more about codependency and dependent personality disorder.

Learning Objectives:

Define codependency and Dependent Personality Disorder,

distinguishing between the two

Identify the 3 types of “codependents” and family of origin roles

Learn the “codependent and narcissistic” dance of attraction

Learn how to create treatment plan goals for Dependent Personality Disorder Presenter
