Come enjoy a fun party, get a little exercise and support a great cause all at once at the 6th Annual Zumbathon Charity Event, benefiting "The Beauty and the Beast Fund" of Jackson County! $20 at the door! 10/09/24, 12:00pm - 3:00pm. Scottsboro Rec*Com, Parks and Recreation Gym, 701 S.Houston Street, Scottsboro! Zumba, refreshments, door prizes and FUN!  Seating avaliable for those who wish to support and/or not dance! We have FOUR instructors this year to party with!

"Beauty" is a 501c3 non-profit organization that provides financial support to breast cancer patients/residents of Jackson county that are under going Chemotherapy, Radiation and other forms of treatment. Often these treatments require travel outside of the county, as while Clearview Cancer Institute has an office in Scottboro, it is only open on Fridays and does not have an infusion clinic - thus residents must travel to Huntsville for Chemotherapy, injections, etc. You can only imagine having to make this trip, especially on multiple days depending on what treatment is ordered.  This is a further financial hardship on those deep in this fight!

What is the Beauty and the Beast Fund?  "Beauty" is a 501 (c) 3 organization that provides financial assistance to all applicants that are residents of Jackson County, who are in active treatment of Breast Cancer. Once approved, financial assistance continues throughout the entire time of active treatment.  All money raised at this event goes straight to Alabama residents!  Tax deductible receipts are avaliable for all sponsorships and/or donations!
